| Result: | Conditional Discharge. After hearing Mr. Mines' submissions on his client's behalf, the Judge agreed that, even though this was a breach of trust situation, neither jail, nor even a criminal conviction was warranted. |

| Issue: | Mr. Mines represented his client in a civil action against a Skytrain Police Officer and Translink for unlawful assault. |
| Result: | Damages awarded to Mr. Mines' client in range of $40,000.00, plus costs. The jury (after a 12 day trial) found Translink and its officer liable for assault. |

| Result: | Not Guilty. Mr. Mines' client was acquitted of all charges (11 day jury trial). |

| Issue: | Whether currency seized by the police during a warrantless search were "proceeds of crime." |
| Result: | After hearing Mr. Mines' submissions as to why the seized cash was not proceeds of crime, the Vancouver Police Department agreed to return the monies to Mr. Mines' client. |
